The original head coach for the Pokers first four seasons, John had turned over the reigns to a professional. While John still helps at every practice, he thinks it is best to have a professional coach evaluate each player without any bias. Joey and John agree in the philosophy of not cutting kids to be replaced by someone better, but making their own kids that better player. John equates his job to that of an MLB General Manager. He is proud that 9 of the 10 players on the current squad have been there since the team formed. John is originally from St.Louis and resides in Parkland with his wife, Tami, his daughter, Nicole, and his son, Johnny. Tami also helps out in the dugout as the team's game scorekeeper.
